Am I just a complainer or what?

This is my second rant for the night. I baked a batch of chocolate mint squares to send our granddaughter for her birthday the 23rd.
There wasn't anything I could buy her that she would enjoy more. I sent them (along with a Christmas gift) on Monday and even paid extra to mail them Priority which is 2 to 3 day delivery.
Do you think the package is there five days after I mailed it? Do you think the USPS has any clue where it is?
I also sent a package to a friend who also hasn't received it. Her's will be okay delayed, but those brownies for my granddaughter won't!
I don't think they'll be safe to eat if they don't get there soon. I sent them frozen and packed really well. It makes me so ill to have spent extra and they may be inedible.
I was assured that by paying for Priority mail they would get there no later than three days.
So frustrating. And she'll be so disappointed if she has to throw them out.

They call it snail mail for a reason. I hope they are edible when she finally does receive them.

@kaylachan But when you pay extra for two day delivery, seven days or more is unacceptable.

Yes you are just a complainer.
Maybe they will be okay, remember its the thought that counts.

There's the slightest chance they might be safe to eat if it arrives today. But I sure don't want anyone getting sick.

Thanks. I mailed the box last Tuesday, so I don't know if the goodies will be safe to eat if they ever do get there.

The mail delivery is terrible right now and it isn't just Christmas but everyone is ordering everything instead of going out. I hope it gets there soon, brownies should be good for maybe 10 days at least I would think. I am saying a prayer. I have informed delivery so I can see what mail I am supposed to get that day, I was supposed to have a piece on Saturday and it didn't arrive. sigh!!

I used to work for the Post Office, and the more urgent you seem to get something to its destination the longer it’s going to take.

@1creekgirl We use a local private courier, we are sure that everything is delivered within 48 hours... Swiss Post can take up to 4 days.

If they had just told me that even though I was paying extra for 2 day delivery that there was no way it would get there in less than a week or more, I 'd have never sent it.

I mailed fruitcake to my daughter in Arizona. From WA state to Arizona it took about eight days for the package to arrive. My hubby and I make our fruitcake and it is butter rich. Frozen and chocolate? I'm not too sure about that but I wish you luck. It is Christmas time and that does delay mailing.

Happy birthday to her. I know how you feel. I have to share with you I sent something to two places and neither got them and spent lots of money to make sure they would get to the two places and they got lost somewhere and never found out where and they never arrived. I had to pay someone back for something they did not get and had to resend something. It sucks. I then stopped spending so much to send something I have to send. I am sorry this happened to you, but, I do understand. It is not fair and very hard.

I've decided I have to quit stressing about it. It is what it is. But I'm going to request a refund at least from USPS.

@porwest You're right about that. I can't begin to list the things I'm concerned about and spoiled brownies are way down on the list.
Hope you and your wife will have a good Christmas!
