Hacker Strikes Again

This time it is my PayPal account and the email was sent on my personal not work email. As I don't easily give in to email messages, I made sure to validate. "Your PayPal account has been temporarily restricted" On the following sentence it reads, "Your PayPal account has been limited. We have found suspicious activity on your last transaction" And so on... Wait, what? The last transaction I had was the October MyLot payment. Nothing follows after that. I logged on to my PayPal instead of hitting the link on my email, which I usually do for all suspicious emails. Yes, confirmed it is a spam email. My balance is still intact.

Got to love scammers. They still try to scam people and think people are dumb enough to fall for it.

I still remember a friend who lost her PayPal balance because of some phishing email she received. Being an online worker for a long time, I am cautious even on chat and text messages with links. I also post awareness to my friends who are just starting with their online work.

They will never stop since online purchasing has been an important part of our lives with the current pandemic. Seems like this has become the new normal for these hackers as well. Good to know that you are vigilant with your account.

It's good that you don't panic easily. And even better that your account hasn't been hacked.

I ignore this kind of emails these days. I can't remember how many emails I received telling me my account has been restricted.
