Dear First Name Last Name

I got up and checked my phone about an hour ago.
Yep, I had a text message that began "Dear First Name Last Name", sent today, Dec. 22, 2020.
It involved the fact that I should claim my package that was one mile from my house by December 21, 2020 (yesterday) before I get charged any further delivery charges.
I was entertained enough to think I might share this miracle of messages with my friends, as I send you greetings and as I am listening to a Pentatonix Christmas Playlist.
So Dear First Name, Last Name I hope you have a wonderful day with no non existent shipments you should have picked up yesterday.
Enjoy the beauty and music and rhythm of the day.
I will see you a little later.

You know, it has to be successful on occasion or they would not keep doing it.

You have to think they would not be successful at all.

@GardenGerty This is what I think, but I am surprised that they arrive to scam people.

That is a funny one. I have not had one like that. But I guess I no longer exist as I had a call saying my SSN had been suspended

The thought of someone falling for a scam like this is disheartening.

Some of those scams are really easy to spot. My husband just received a package scam as well. It contained a "fee" that he needed to pay and he had to hurry up if he wanted to avoid further charges. He deleted it straight away.

This one seems to be based on the same principle of avoiding extra fees.

If a package is undeliverable, or they cannot find the address, they will take freight to a "package store" in the area but there is never any extra feel

@GardenGerty No indeed, and if they had a package for you they would know your name, surely!

You should be sleeping peacefully now. I have more Christmas music on now.

Yes, hoping that the idea of a package is so common they can fool us.
