Daughter kept teasing me, telling me that most likely on Tuesday- today- a package from Texas would be at my house.
Hubby and I were walking back from the mail box, a little mail in my hands. I saw the elephant sized brown UPS truck turn off the county road. I told hubby that we had better scrunch to the side of our road best we could. We did and Mister barrelled that monster truck past us. He said he would put the box on our deck.
We got up there- walking through the front garden so that driver would be able to leave. Box heavy enough to have rocks in it waited for us. I e-mailed daughter. Yes!! Open it. Inside lay tasty looking grapefruit, limes and oranges and even an avocado. Texas fruit right off the trees. No wonder the box was heavy.
Daughter not only surprised us but she helped a small Texas citrus farm keep on going. No pesticides and sustainable growing so the fruit is not gassed and made to be perfectly orange. We're looking forward to trying a grapefruit with tomorrow's breakfast.

@LindaOhio Maybe it will last many days. (Gobbled a tree ripened avocado with lunch.)
