Hello there. I’m back for the Christmas Writing Challenge. :)
“What are your Christmas Eve traditions? Are there things you do every year, no matter what?”
Growing up, my parents would give us one small gift on Christmas Eve, and it’s a tradition my Mom and I still do today. In fact, I’ll be wrapping her Christmas Eve gift before I hit the hay tonight. I’d post what it is, but she forgot (even though she picked it), and on the off-chance she finds this post through one of my Gratitude Challenges, I’ll just let her be surprised lol.
I’ve also started a tradition of giving the dogs Christmas Eve presents, mainly because I’m too excited to wait 24 more hours to give them their toys. I bought them each a bone-shaped squeaky toy with a hashtagged word on it. Dash’s bone says “#Troublemaker,” Doodles’ bone says “#Spoiled” and Bella’s bone says “#Boss.” :)
So that’s a Christmas Eve tradition I personally continue with each year. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?

Those sound like great traditions for Christmas Eve! We used to just wait till Christmas morning to open all gifts...but we open them all Christmas Eve now, unless we are given a gift from someone that we don't see till Christmas day. I will leave "santa's" gift to Eli for Christmas morning - but this year I am not sure if he will have one.

@tammys85 Thank you...I hope you enjoyed those days/times as well!
He didn't get a "santa gift" because I didn't buy an extra one when I was shopping....and then there was no time I could go to the store without him lol. I told him that the gift we gave him was from Santa....and that it was brought early lol

We used to make the santa cookies and watch Christmas movies / listen to Christmas music.

Oddly enough, I cannot remember if we left cookies for Santa growing up, but I'm sure we did. I think it's because sometimes one of us were hit with a stomach bug on Christmas Eve (but usually better enough by the next day), so I probably didn't think much of it then. We definitely do that with Alice though. :)

Christmas is all about Jesus. Therefore Christmas is sharing and giving. We should make every day like Christmas.
