A different Christmas this year

I have been used to going for Mid-night Mass every year on the eve of Christmas. But this year we have a curfew at night in our State. So there will be no midnight mass. During the day too only 50 people will be allowed in Church. So this year we have to hear Mass online on Christmas Day. Somehow the festive feeling is not there as we are housebound and cannot visit anyone. I have not made any Christmas sweets also as there is no one to share it with me. What are you doing on Christmas day?

Christmas fever is little better in our area. People go to church to hear the mass. Exchange of presents can also be seen. As I am running a cake shop, I can see some activities going on in our area.

we also have some limitations when it comes to church and other establishments. We will attend online mass since I have kids with me. Me and my in-laws will have Christmas lunch together Merry Christmas!

We can have only 50 people in the Church at any given time. With a population of 1000s of Christians this would be impossible to manage Mass for the entire Parish.

I'm sorry Christmas will be different and you need to listen to it online. It's a different Christmas for many people this year.

Not celebrating Christmas. But I am meeting my friend tomorrow at the mall. We might see some Christmas celebration. Or at least a Christmas tree.

Our churches closed early this year. Although I miss going to church, we have to do what we can to stay safe. My hubs and I have our own little ritual we do together, and we will tomorrow in place of going out.

Our churches also have been closed since March. I too follow my own rituals and am praying at home itself.

In Australia, most things are happening as normal. We are incredibly lucky. I'm sorry you have to stay home so much.

Here life started to get a bit normal and then again they were suspecting we would have another wave of the pandemic so they started night curfew and a lot of restrictions during the day.
