It's been a while since I have posted as the last few months have been hard for me since Chuck passed away. But I couldn't let this day go by without wishing all of you here a Merry Christmas! Everyone here means a lot to me and I will be back full force eventually.
I am proud to say that although I didn't cook a big dinner yesterday, I did cook a ham. The potato salad came from the grocery deli and the baked beans were out of a can but, I did cook a lovely ham to eat on for a few days then I will freeze for sandwiches and soup later during the year.
Our family was hit with yet another death December 1st. My Uncle passed away from covid. He was in his 80's. My aunt is recovering from it but will be ok. His funeral or memorial will be held later, possibly in the spring. Everyone in our family is really afraid to try and hold any kind of gathering at this point.
I'm sure im not the only one who is wishing for a new year to begin. It's hard to stay positive after this past year but I am determined. I hope you all have a wonderful and blessed Christmas!! And please everyone, please be safe! We are not out of the woods yet with covid.

We cooked a ham on Christmas day also.
Ham "reuban" sandwiches one day. Ham in creamy sauce over pasta another night, split pea soup from the ham bone last night, and ham and pineapple pizza tonight. And the rest is frozen.
I hope you had a peaceful, Christmas if not Merry. Take care.

I am sorry for yet another loss that your family has endured.
2020 has been such a difficult year.
Like many, I shed a few tears a little while ago after saying good bye to our son and daughter-in-law on facetime. I am grateful that I have my hubby, but its been so very long since I have been able to give our son a hug. Something so basic and so instinctive, yet something so forbidden during this terrible year.
If I were there I would give you a hug, but since I am not, here is a big virtual hug.
Merry Christmas Sharon.
