They wanted us to clap

Well.. I had a few doozies of dreams. There was one that is tickling at the back of my mind but that I can't fully remember. I'll tell you about the ones I do remember. Fire Engines. Last night, before I went to bed, I heard several sirens as they flew down the road and into our neighborhood. Some were fire engines, others were ambulances and there was a cop car or two among those blaring their sirens. Well, my subconscious thought I should dream about it... In the dream, I... was inside when I heard a bunch of sirens. I looked out my window to see fire trucks and ambulances driving down my cul de sac and turning around only for more to replace them. Eventually the paramedics started to leave their ambulances and stand outside. My family and I noticed that our neighbors were coming out of their houses so we decided to do the same. "What's going on?" I asked my next door neighbor, a lady that my mom used to be close to. "They want us to applaud them." she replied. I thought that was weird and not a little pretentious of them. We walked up to the end of our road where several paramedics were standing in a row. We stood on the other side of the street to keep distance and they started to talk to us. Eventually they brought over baskets of candies and grabbed handfuls of the stuff to give to us. We started to clap then and my heart filled with pride and respect for the men and women. Then the dream shifted... Let's MAYBE do that again. There has been road construction near my friends house, a new extension of the highway that brings her closer to her town. We were leaving her house one morning so she could drop me back home. She missed the on ramp and instead of turning around and gong back, she made a sharp turn and drove us down an embankment where we propelled through the air for a few seconds before dropping onto the highway below. There was a lot more to this dream including a doctor's office that housed a lot of snakes in aquariums, and Danny Devito was in the dream, but those parts are vague. I had several other dreams involving a school, a guy and a little girl, but I can't remember it well enough to recount it.
