My nerves are wrecked...

United States
December 26, 2020 12:31pm CST
I woke up this morning wanting to cry so bad. I don't get depression often, but it's usually this time of year that I get depressed. I had a tea date this morning with several ladies and I had to force myself to get ready for it. I almost called and cancelled, but I pushed through. Well now my nerves are wrecked because I was trying to set up my phone, but they want you to verify through text. My sim card was already in the new phone, so I had to call.. Well they want you to verify with asinine questions that no one remembers (when did you start your service?). On top of that the woman hung up on me. I wasn't irate, I wasn't even angry. She did say she was sorry though, and I know it's not her fault.. But my nerves are wrecked and now I have to go to the mall which is where my closest metro store is! I just can't even with today! Is it too early to drink?

Christmas always brings back a flood of memories for me, and I usually get quiet and sad. Its just a bad time of the year for me. I hope that yours is short-lived.

Thank You. I'm feeling better than I was a little while ago. I'm just trying to distract myself and hope that the distraction will help me. I think a lot of us feel really sad this time of year.

@ScribbledAdNauseum For me it is the time of the year that leads up to our daughter's birthday. She passed away many years ago, but a parent's heart never ever forgets.

Oh dear sorry to hear this Amber. I can understand how that feeling is and it sucks. I try not to think of the drink..it consumes me if I taste one drop. How was the tea time with friends by the way and how is your cousin

@RebeccasFarm A cookie. It had mint extract in it, but it wasn't the mint so much as it was too dry. Thank You so much. I really appreciate it. Hoping to have her home before the new year.

I don't drink very often myself because I've seen it destroy family members. I drink socially or where I can be monitored. The tea time was great. There were lots of tasty treats but one that was not tasty in the least. My cousin is still not eating. They want to put a medicine tube so that her meds can be adminstered that way.

It is not too early to drink! New technology makes me so frustrated, I cry every time! I hope you joined your friends even if you didn't feel like it. Take care.

@paigea So much hassle! Plus I had to pay $25 for them to help me. I told the lady "if the questions weren't so difficult!" Who is going to remember what day they joined metro? (my cell company)

Thank You. I did join my friends and they were glad that I did. I had to go to the local mall for them to help me. This is why I take care of my phone and use it for as long as I possibly can!

Thank you so much! You don't know how much that means to me. My friends even said this morning that they could tell I wasn't feeling that great. I think I might take a nap when I get back from the mall.

@CarolDM Thank You and Thank You. My best friend just asked me if I wanted to go to her house for movie night but I told her I was starting to feel better. However, I said, "You could drop Binx off."

Yes, thank you. I am feeling slightly better, but I still feel shaky. I may go lay down for a little while and see if that helps me.

I hate days like that. I think in person will be much easier than trying to do it on the phone.

I had to go to our mall and that was just hectic! I hate going to the mall most days but especially the day after Christmas. I think it's ridiculous that the security questions are things that no one is going to remember. How am I going to remember when I joined the cell provider? Also, the woman over the phone told me my bill was due on the 5th, but it's actually the 12th that it's due!

No. It's this time of year that I feel the worse. The rest of the year I am fine. I have a friend who could have given me some nerve pills if I had thought to ask her.

Maybe you have to drink less so that your nerves relax again, I suggest you drink more tea and other herbal drinks, you can also drink ginger
