A Lot of People Living Alone

I started a Space in Quora about being a Frugal Minimalist and after months, I still have 23 followers . But I just started a space called Living Alone around Christmas holidays and it already has more than 100 followers and even people submitting comments and discussions.
I realized it really is about what people can relate to. People will automatically or organically flock to it without much effort on your part. I just shared one post and they liked it.
Interesting.

And now because of your space many weren't alone for Christmas. You did good.

It's good. People need to know many have same situation.

That's true about anything, really. My discussions on here are hit or miss, so I know what you mean.

That is true. I remember putting so much effort on a post and got 2 responses. While something I just randomly post while on a break at the office gets 15 comments.

I guess people are more interested in living alone during Christmas than frugal living.

You are right. I have read a blog about how traffic would rise at certain times. Seems views are seasonal too.

Very interesting. Well done on helping over 100 people feel not so alone on Christmas.
Do you think the wording may have had an impact too?
I mean living alone around christmas is pretty easily understood, whereas "Frugal minimalist" is a mouthful.
Perhaps if we try an experiment, and you change the space to say something like "Owning less, saving more" and see what happens...
Also, I think there might be an emotional tug to the christmas group, and factoring in the timing, it's more likely to be filled up quickly.

Owning less, saving more has a good ring to it, more relatable.

I haven't try starting a space in Quora. Do you earn from that activity?

No I dont. It says earnings is not yet being implemented in the Philippines.

Do you mind sharing the link so I can also follow you?
Being relatable is important if you have a certain niche that you want to establish yourself in. Your skills also help, but if you are able to reach out and touch a broad audience then your post will be viral. Which is another thing altogether - do you prefer virality or being true and organic? Some fortunate ones get to have both.

I had never tried anything on Quora before. I was told that you need to be an expert and they do pay. Not sure how true is that?

I think some people earn there. But I dont. I'm just starting to learn there during free time.

Unfortunately I am not earning on Quora. I just do it for learning and entertainment.
