Helping the Addams Family.. Or something like that (A dream)

Well.. Let's dive right in, shall we?
Everything was.. strange. That was the only word I could find to describe my surroundings, but that word didn't encompass half of what I was seeing. We were on the move in what looked to be a school bus. Several of the seats were filled with people I used to work with and that alone was making me nervous. I had no idea where we were going nor did anyone else on the bus.
A man sat in the front row behind the driver, and if I had to guess, I'd say he was a teacher. He had a drill sargeant look about him with broad shoulders and a severe face. We stopped in front of a school and watched as children unloaded from the buses in front of us. Someone asked if we were going into the school, but the teacher scowled and the woman who asked cowered.
There was A LOT more to this dream. I could fill out two or three discussions worth just to retell it all, but I won't. I will say that further into the dream, I felt the need to protect a mother and her children from the teacher. The teacher gave us tests and I ended up grouped with some of my old co-workers. I didn't want to do the tests and so I dawdled until a few minutes before we were supposed to turn them in. I remember writing on the piece of paper how I was scared for the mother and child and how much I loathed the teacher for the way he was treating them. He graded the papers and everyone in the class had failed. He handed mine back to me and commented that he would have given me an A because I was the only one understood the assignment, but that looks could be deceiving and that was why he gave me the F.
It took a few minutes before what he said would make sense. The family that I had felt sorry for ended up being the reason we were there at all. She was some sort of royalty and was trying to steal something. Everyone else in the classroom was there to protect the items she wanted to steal and to defeat her.
Oh and the woman? She was Morticia Addams from the Addams family...
WEIRD,

@Tina30219 The faster I wake up the least likely I am to remember a dream.

I want to try to make more of them, but I wasn't remembering my dreams for a few weeks there.

Mostly scary to be honest. There was a part at the end that I can't quite remember, but I know we had to build something in order to get away.

@Butterfingers I'm not sure what it was. In my dream it seemed like something you'd find in the movie Star Wars.

I think you have lucid dreams. Most don't remember dreams in great detail.

I don't know if every dream I have is lucid, but I do have a few of those. I started actively trying to remember my dreams when I was in my teen years so now it just sort of comes naturally for me to wake up and have them on my mind first thing.

I agree Morticia was very rich so she didn't need to steal at all.

I loved Morticia too and I thought that the way Gomez loved her was so sweet.

@RebeccasFarm Occasionally I get the itch to watch the show and I can't help but smile. Such classic television.

Weird indeed. I rarely remember my dreams and certainly not in much detail.

I remember most of mine, but here lately I've been forgetting them nearly as soon as I wake up.

Very strange. You were being graded, eh? Is there a situation in your life where you are being assessed?

Ah Yes. I watched the reruns of the oldest version, the one that was filmed in black and white. The moving hand was funny.

I haven't watched the show or the movie in a long time. I don't know what made me dream of that, but the woman looked just like Morticia Addams in the show.
