We are shocked out of our minds and saddened beyond belief. Our next door neighbor in Florida was found dead in his condo.
He has been watching our condo while we are up north for the last several years. His last day would have been this Thursday, because he told us that he was moving then.
My husband spoke to him about two weeks ago on the phone for over an hour about all kinds of things, and they agreed to stay in touch. He was to give our keys to someone else we trust to care for our condo and car. Hubs mailed him a check for watching our place.
When we heard nothing about the turnover of our keys, we called him just before Christmas and left a message. Never heard back.
We don’t know how long poor Marc has been dead or why or how. We are sick over it. He was young, a picture of health, and such a nice man.
Just received a call. Our keys have been found. No news about Marc. May he RIP.

@DianneN It could've been anything. I am happy at least, the keys were found. Glad to hear it wasn't a murder and some nut isn't running around with keys to your condo.

@kaylachan We once had a nut running around with keys to our condo. He was a friend who let his niece live there while we were up north and he drove our car all over Florida. Marc, the poor nextdoor neighbor, was one of the many people who alerted us. We asked Marc if he would watch our place (several people do this for a fee and earn extra money) and he agreed.

OH Dianne, this is terrible news! A young man, I wonder just exactly what happened to him:( He probably has family members your husband could speak with, to find out.

We are so devastated over this and so shocked!!!! No one knows anything, yet. It's too soon. Unfortunately, the only family members he ever spoke of were cousins who live in upstate NY. He lived alone and dated every once in a while. They were usually people in the complex. We hope he didn't suffer whatever happened.

@Tina30219 You are so right! No, he wasn’t married and pretty much kept to himself. We were friendly neighbors.

@DianneN Yes but it would be worrisome not knowing where the set he had ended up given the issue you had with the other neighbor!!

@BelleStarr We weren’t worried. Marc was very organized and once the scene was cleared up, the keys were easily found. I’m surprised you remember that ordeal with Dr. Jay. I brought everything of value back to CT with me. lol

Thanks so much. This has been quite a month of loss.
The keys were found quickly once our other friend was able to go in. Marc was a neat freak and a creature of habit. We have extra keys here. Hubs already had them ready to mail within a minute. He’s a creature of habit and extremely anal.

I guess your husband is checking into things like if your home is alright? So Marc passed of natural causes? Or do you have to disinfect home?
