Have you ever tried to argue with your boss?

Sometimes we can't make the changes that they're doing in the company and sometimes it ended up confronting them and telling them directly our resentment even though we know that it might affect our working ethics inside the company. Some people who can't make the changes are just leaving the company and looking for a new one. For me, arguing or confronting your bosses isn't good because it might affect your work inside that company. I know that you'll feel better after doing that but what do you think will happen next?

No, I haven't tried it and I don't have plan of doing it. If I can't stand the situation anymore, I am willing to exit gracefully. But of course, we need a job so we have to deal with it no matter how difficult it can be.

@tech40 Yes, there are many times that I think I couldn't handle it anymore but I did and I am still alive. I won't let it affect me anymore. What is important is that we are being paid and we can save so that eventually, we can be on our own and not anymore dependent on the salary.

Indeed. Arguing them might result in a lot of damage for your application to your next company unless you'll not declare that you're working there before

@ARIES1973 Yup it is also what I'm thinking. Whatever will happen. How toxic it is, at the end of the day you'll get paid.

We can present our argument in a professional manner, the key is not coming across as combative. I have stood up for myself many times in the work place, but I always do so in a professional manner. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not because the other party refuses to back down. I just choose my battles, after all I don't want to win the battle (argument) only to lose the war (like lose a good job). And if the issue is the actual company itself, then I will start looking for other employment so I can transition smoothly.

Well explained. I totally agree with you. There are correct places for everything. Correct action for every mistake or argument. Correct department that can fix the problem but the last resort is to look for something better

I don't like argument of any sort. So I better do my job correctly so I would not get reprimanded.

Awesome! It's good that you're able to become self-employed. I just started to become self-employed 3 years ago
