Welcome 2021, but....

My favorite poet is Dylan Thomas. There is a line from his most iconic poem that I often use. "Do not go gentle into that good night." 2021 is the light. But, we have to stop for a moment. We have to first remember those lost. The cost of 2020 was huge. Massive and we have to remember those not walking with us into 2021. I am not here to praise Caesar as Shakespeare's Mark Anthony said, i am here to bury 2020. Remember how important it is to consider those around you. As we head into the dark days of winter (Northern Hemisphere) and the hot day's of summer (Southern Hemisphere. Remember to wear a mask. You see, we learned a lesson in 2020. The life you save, may not be your own. Take a moment and remember. Wish those around you a safe journey this New Year. But remember the lessons of 2020.

2020, a year that we all will never forget. War a mask to keep the others safe if you do not care for your life, if all people would be less selfish we could save more lives.

@marlina This is what I am noticing, those idiots even broke the rule to have parties the last day of the year.

2020 was a year that will never be forgotten since the Lake Charles region went through two hurricanes who were Laura and Delta. I am thankful for the help that came from the local charities that brought my relatives our basic needs through the four week period of the blackout period.

Yes, we will be wearing masks for months to come; and we should all remember those that did not make it into 2021. Happy New Year!

You have put it so well. 2020 has definitely taught few invaluable lessons and we should never leave them behind. It was a year of lessons learnt hard way. We leant to value what we took for granted... And yes to be responsible to keep others and ourselves safe and healthy.

I pray everyone will remember the reduction of pollution that this year brought plus the rejuvenation of wildlife do to the absence of humans. It should be an eye opener to anyone who cares about our beautiful planet.
