Fancy rubbish bin holders in Manjimup, Western Australia

I thought you might like to see these rubbish bin holders which I saw in the town of Manjimup in Western Australia. Manjimup is famous for its cherries and was once a timber town. There were other designs but I only took photos of these two. The one on the right shows the black cockatoo. There are a few species of the black cockatoo – two white-tailed species, also a red-tailed and yellow-tailed. Some are more endangered than others. We often see the white- and red-tailed around our property.

Those rubbish bin holders are both beautiful. I am going to research the black cockatoo, I do not think I ever saw them.

@JudyEv Those look beautiful and now I remember you wrote about them. Surely the most colorful are those of the male.

This is the only place I've seen this type. Some do have nice surrounds for their bins but not cut-outs like this.

These are too pretty. Who said rubbish bins have to be dull and boring? I might take pictures of these

What a lovely idea to take something as negative as a trash bin and turn it into something positively beautiful!

The cut-outs are very effective. We saw a lot much further north but they were just decorative.

Nice to see the decorations on dustbin. Generally it is considered as untouchable and secluded to some dark corner.

The rubbish bin holders are unique ! The pictures on them look like the Wuhu "iron picture" here.

Thanks for the link. There are some lovely images here. We have iron cut-outs in some of our more remote towns. You might have seen them on other posts of mine. This is one of my favourites.

It's nice that they thought of taking something as mundane as rubbish bin holders and making art out of them. Even the trash improves the beauty of the town!

Generally, the existence of trash cans makes the city slum. On the contrary, it looks more beautiful.
