Early in December @Jabo had a post about her mother washing her hair when she was a child. I told her I remember my mother had a photo of me as a baby in the enamel bathtub on the kitchen table. It was 1951 so I was at least 7 months old. Jabo said she would love to see it.
I went looking for that photo this week and I found it. I think I look a lot like the Gerber Baby, lol. And yes, I was a chunky monkey!!! The head needless to say is my mother, my Aunt Pauline must have been there because she was the photographer in the family.
While washing my hair today I got a sudden backflash to how my mother used to do it for me when I was little. I used to hate it. We didn't have a shower or...

That is so cute. My mom fed me well I had chubby cheeks and thought I looked like Quess Victoria on the throne.

Sounds like what dad told us about Aunt Louise, she was the only blonde and had brown eyes @BelleStarr Dad and Uncle Rudolph had jet black hair and steely light blue eyes.

lol Well, thank you. I had rather attractive parents so got some decent genes. My brothers on the other hand were even cuter, both blond-haired and blue eyes. I was rather a shock with my light brown hair and brown eyes.

@DianneN No not wrong but I taught him Tuesday, yesterday he had his online math teacher for an hour but Kasey has been swamped and I told her I can't do it every day, it is just too much. So we had a lot of work today. He had 5 paragraphs to write and he hates writing. And lots of other things but we got it all done and even caught up Wednesday and did his grammar for tomorrow so after 5 hours I couldn't even cook supper, I just made us leftovers lol Plus I have not been sleeping well, I get this way some times, no reason. I even figured out some of his "new Math" which is what I think fried my brain lol

@BelleStarr I understand. That's a lot of work to handle on your own. If you need help, let me know. I taught all that and may be able to give you some ideas.

Oh yes my mother was very proud of every wrinkle, lol I think as a child she never had enough food and she wanted to make sure I had plenty!! Evidently, I was on board with that lol

Yes those were the days, I don't know if anyone had colored pictures in the 1950s.

@BelleStarr I think colored photos started in the '60s.

lol I really was a very good-natured kid and my mom adored me but was a pretty no-nonsense type of mom so I'm not sure what was on my mind lol
