The Crack of Dawn

Dawn has finally arrived. It looks like this due to the trees surrounding our property.
My husband and I walk at the crack of dawn every day. It’s so peaceful, and we rarely see anyone this early except the occasional dog walker.
I’ve been awake before the crack of dawn. I’m waiting for hubs to finish dressing. It is a cold, clear morning. Normally, I would be walking alone, but ever since my stalking incident a few months ago, hubs insists I don’t walk without him. He slows me down, but he is walking faster now. We make a good team.
I shall return soon..

Wow, be careful Di.
I had a tremendous time trying to tell my lot someone was stalking me too they thought it was my imagination how I wish that it had been.
The guy from the shop told him to clear off and I never saw again and we moved lucky for me.

@lovinangelsinstead21 Yikes! How awful MyLot didn’t believe you.
We are not moving, and hubs already threatened him with a lawsuit, etc. I think he learned his lesson, finally.

Regular walk is a big plus. Plus you have the courage not to keep on being lazy in quilts or blankets on winter mornings but go on walk.
The picture above makes me feel as if spring is also perhaps not far away.
Here we had a sunny day but cold winds kept on blowing. I had to go out to the market for some time and had to wear a cap. In the evening, it looks as if the mercury is suddenly dipping down and we have our heat blower on since a long time.
So the cold weather is here to stay.

Thank you again @rebelann. So far, so good. Haven't seen or heard a peep from the stalker, but I always have my eyes opened. Hubs won't even let me go for a quick walk around the block without him. Can't be too careful even though I'm sure that guy means me no harm.

I was up at a ridiculous hour of the morning this morning. I had to call my clinics at the VA as soon as they opened. I called just after 8 AM and the lady at the dental clinic said, “Oh, I was expecting your call.” (I’m still showing positive for Covid so they won’t see me.) Then I called the physical therapy clinic because I’m pretty sure I couldn’t get into the hospital at all unless it was a medical emergency (then they’d sneak me in the back door the way they did last month). So I’m free of VA appointments until March.
Now I’m going to call the Red Cross and see if I can donate plasma.

@DianneN — I don’t know what they do with it. Initially they were using it to help people who were having severe cases (because, to paraphrase the song, I fought the bug and I won ), but with the advent of the vaccines I don’t know if they’re still doing it or not. I’ll know once I call the Red Cross.

@DianneN The walk is very good, we usually walk in the evening, there is a lot of noise in the place we live in the morning, there are a lot of people and cars, I don't need that stress as soon as I open my eyes. In the evening, everything is calm ... real enjoyment

@LowRiderX It's a small town in the suburbs with houses far apart and lots of trees and woods. It's very quiet here and safe from the virus. We will remain here until it's safe to return to Florida.

@DianneN I remember the day you left Florida, you later decided to stay there and not go back to Florida. According to your description, I like it a lot, I could live in such an environment

Thank you!
The stalker turned out to be someone I have known for years. Nothing bad happened, but the police were notified as well as the neighbors. He had been circling my neighborhood and been parking in front of my house and drove up early in the morning while I was getting the newspaper. My husband came running out and threatened him with lawsuits and the police. He drove off and I haven't seen him in several months. I'm still careful though. He's married and has grown kids. Sick man!!!!

Wow, you are disciplined. I would never get up early when it is so cold out. I and the others that walk this "hood" take afternoon walks.

@snowy22315 I’m always warm when I first wake up. I used to walk our dog around the entire 5/8ths of a mile circle in my nightgown and a coat.

You are an early riser. Your hub had the right decision to go with you every day.
