Zorro said hello. He is one of my sister kittens. A little brother of Lolly. Lolly comes to play more often (and also naps for hours) since her mom gave birth to six cute kittens. And everytime we talked about her siblings, she would stopped purring and walked away. Did she jealous and understood what we were talking about?

I've ever read it in social media. Many people said that actually cats can hear and understand what we say. I don't know whether it's valid or not, but they said that and put some proofs.

@happylearner I know for sure that dogs understand. I have told a dog that was not mine never to lick me. He understood, and never licked me.

@vandana7 I've never heard about it, but I think every kind of animals has a possibility to understand our saying. They just can't talk back to us in our way.

if zorro is only 4 months and his mother gave birth to six new kittens, you'll end up with so many cats.

@Cheyee well, hopefully they all survive and it doesn't take a toll on the mother cat. 4 months gap is too short.

@hereandthere hitam is really good mom. She knows how to take care of her kittens. But she doesnt know how to take care of herself. She never went to far from her kittens. And everytime her kittens make a sound she will come.

Zorro looks to be asleep. How can he say hello in his sleep?
Yes, animals do learn to understand what their humans say to them. But since Zorro is still a kitten, he won't have learned to understand human language yet. (And most cats will understand but will more likely ignore anything people say to them.)

@Cheyee *grinning at you* Most people do whatever they want, too. Do you think we learned that from cats?

I always wonder if my cats understand when I talk to them about entertainment shows.
