What food do you have for lunch? / myLot

In my place, it's 12:30 pm. I just had my lunch. I ate a food called gado-gado. Gado-gado is a food consist of many kind of vegetables with peanut sauce. I really love peanut sauce and any kind of food served with the peanut sauce. It's all really delicious. How about you? What you have for lunch? And what's your favorite food? Picture from google.

I love gado-gado and mostly combine it with some chow mein. We eat our hot meals not at lunchtime but at dinnertime. At lunch we just eat a slice of bread with cheese or jam or meat products.

Wow, I'm glad gado-gado is also served in other countries. Do you order gado-gado from Indonesian restaurant?

@happylearner I think gado-gado is served all over the world. I can't order food from restaurants, because I live too far from the village, they won't bring it home. We can buy it in our super markets and sometimes I make it myself.

@TitiaG Wow, that's a new information for me. I thought gado-gado is only served in Indonesia or Southeast Asia. Gado-gado is such a simple food. We can make it by ourselves.

I've never had peanut sauce but I'm sure it's good. I had noodles and tomatoes for lunch and currently umm having some Valentine's candy. That means I've gone off my diet temporarily.

Yes, definitely. Peanut sauce is good. I've never tasted a combination between noodles and tomatoes.

I had some pork dish during lunch. It's the first time I heard of this gado-gado and it looks delicious. We also have this dish with peanut butter sauce and it tastes great. Though I seldom eat this because I dont' know how to cook. I only order from the restaurant when I have time.

My favorite food is shrimp fried rice, but I am trying to scale back on it because I am trying to lose the weight I put on during the holidays. Your lunch looks delicious, I like vegetables so that is probably something I will like too.

@happylearner That sounds really nice! I love the pretty colours at the side on the left too! I didn't have lunch yet as I'm not really hungry but I kinda just feel like an egg on toast or something. Something simple.

In my place, the thing at the left side is called "kerupuk", I don't know what it is exactly called in english but when I searched it in dictionary, it is same as chip. An egg on toast is really good! and easy to make.
