There are still friendly/caring people on this Earth

When I went to pick up the hay bales as I wrote a few days ago there were two adult sons of the seller visiting their parents. They offered to help me with the loading. In no time my van was filled with 31 bales. Then one of the sons suggested to drive home with me so he could help me unload. If there was still time left he said, we could drive back and fetch the second load too. So we did. He stacked 62 bales of hay in the barn and all I had to do was stand there and watch. He didn't even ask extra money for the loading and unloading, but I gave him some extra money anyway. Appears that he earnes a living as an allround handy man. That's good to know because we certainly can use help when we have to lop away the next lot of our 50+ pollard willows. We can hire those guys and save us a lot of hard work.

Kind people seem to be a rare sight nowadays. At least we know they're still out there, and if you come across a few you're truly lucky.

In my close neighbourhood we used to help each other when needed, but this guy and his brother (in their late twenties) are truly exceptional.

Good to get some help when we really need one. Sounds like a good fella to me. And it was nice of you to offer money for the help. That's a way to appreciate and encourage them

It warmed my heart too because he didn't even owned a car, he took his mom's car and it was a 15-20 minutes drive. We started at 4.00pm and when he left here it was 8.00pm.

@TitiaG I just read the 'forecast' for this year ... this year will mark another 'rapprochement' of people, people will again become caring, ready and willing to help each other as it was before .... the last couple of years really we have become somewhat.. distanced (even before the virus)

I truly hope so, specially in the USA they could use some caring and willing now.

@TitiaG There is nothing better in Europe, nor here ... it is similar everywhere, people have become cold to each other

This is a good example for humanity. People help each other without hoping something in return. This world needs more people like him
