Insecurities

Have you experienced being insecure with your appearance? How about your living? Are you the type of person who belittles himself or her own self whenever seeing someone better? Ever since I was an elementary kid, I know what insecurity is and how it feels. You know why?
I was bullied during my elementary days because of my appearance, with not so white skin and bloated stomach. Since that incident, I was being insecure for a long time until now. But, someone changes that negative thinking of mine and made me accept my flaws and imperfections.
So, to those people who have experienced the same thing, just learn to love yourself because that is the key to find your true beauty and appreciate what God had gave you.

Keep it up, no matter what others might say to yourself do not be affected by it, only you know the beauty you possessed so embrace it and appreciate yourself.

I am glad you can accept who you are. I had one person in my life until I was 14 years old accept who I was. I am still trying to figure thing. I am still not there yet that I can accept myself.

Once you find your worth, that's the time you will start to appreciate yourself. The flaws you have will be beautiful in your eyes and you will then ignore the criticism of others.

Being insecure is a normal thing, but keeping on that stage and never been able to move on is not a good thing. I congratulate you for overcoming it. :)

Yeah but those bullies are weaker than the bullied ones.

I am insecure, but I never let that define me. I guess for me it's a defense mechanism - sort of like, I already belittled myself with this, what else have you got to throw my way that I haven't heard? I know it's not healthy, but in my mind I rationalize that since I already told myself that I do not have beauty queen looks, then when someone calls me ugly it does not faze me anymore.

I feel the same too but God is great He is fair to everyone. If you have brains, you don't have the pretty face. If you are good looking, you sure are lack of something else
