Mystery flag - any ideas?

Does anyone know what this flag means/stands for? It is flying on an ordinary house and I pass it every time I cycle to town. Finally the other day I managed to remember to take a photo. Unfortunately it wasn’t very breezy so it wasn’t flying well enough to read/see much of it, but maybe enough for someone who knows it to recognise? I’ve tried Googling but haven’t found anything similar yet. All rights reserved. © Text and image copyright Fleur 2021.

The text is in Arabic script in silver on black so it's likely to be a quotation from the Q'ran. Someone here with a knowledge of Arabic will, doubtless, be able to read the few words which are visible and identify it. The style of the script is NOT the same as that on Jihadist flags (which are also black with white script), so I very much doubt that the owner is anything other than a law-abiding Muslim!

@Fleura I would take my courage in both hands and knock on the door. Say that you admire their beautiful flag and ask them what it says and why they hoist it. Remember, strangers are friends you haven't met yet!

No it definitely isn't any of the extremist groups, or any national flag either. I'm still curious though.

Someone's personal design. Have you asked the owners?

No, it isn't anyone I know and I don't really want to knock on the door of random total strangers. I am curious though.

@Fleura Okay then. Looks kind of pretty, but as you said, it's hard to tell with it folded up like that. Maybe a sports team?

@kaylachan my best guess is a verse from the Koran or something like that but I can't read Arabic.

Can't read much there. I don't know about other Muslim, maybe their customs are different. But I don't display Quran on a flag. Also, that looks like some sort of prayer. It's common to display one in a house here however.

@prinzcy Oh I see - very nice! And meaningful too, of course.

To display a prayer you mean? I wondered if it might be something like that.

As this is Arabic, in my opinion is a text from the Quran. May be a religious Muslim family lives there.

You've had some good suggestions here. I guess I'd be a bit hesitant about knocking on the door too.
