I prefer hard bound books. I have trouble reading ebooks for some reason. I get through a feew pages and my eyes start bothering me and I lose interest. If I pick up a regular book I can read for hours and not even think about it. I love to read. I can even spend hours in front of the computer doing other things, but for some reason I can't read a book on it.

Normally anyone wd like hard bound books. and me to...
its not always possible to read e-books for everything staying in front of ur monitor. not good for ur eye nd ur spinal cord.
But for us programmers its not always possible to buy every book for every aspect. For a single language there r some many branches nd APIs nd even for s/w packages. and they r costly 2.
So I had to rely on books, and honestly speaking, I read more e-books thn hard bound ones...
and therez another reasone also.
While reading a story book or similar, wht wd u prefer, reading it while laying or sitting in comfort, or sitting in tht ergonomic chair in front of ur computer straing ur eyes...

i dont like reading e-books. staring at the computer screen for a long period of time makes my eyes watery. i dont like hard-bound books either. they are too heavy to carry around and i like carrying around the book im reading whereever i go. so, i like the regular paperback books. they are convenient to carry around and they dont make my eyes watery when i read them.

I like to read the regular bound books. I don't want someone reading a book to me and i don't like to read off from my computer all the time. I like to travel with my books and taking a laptop with me is just to much. The laptop can't fit into my locker at work it's to big and i'll be scared of it getting stolen. If someone takes my book it's only a $2 thing and i'm not to worried about it.

Definitely a hard bound book. I carry a book with me when I go to doctor's appointments or anywhere I may go and have to sit and wait. I can't sit at my computer and read a book for hours like I can a hard bound book.

I definitely prefer a hard copy. I sit in front of a computer all day at work, I don't want to read books on one too. It's just too much strain on my eyes. I like to read laying down, or at least sitting on my couch, not in my office chair. Besides that, I think that pages are too wide on computer screens and I lose my place more easily.

I definitely prefer hard bound books, I loose my place and feel like I am going cross eyed when I try to read too much off a monitor.

Even though I am pretty used to reading something on my computer (forums, informations, ...) I like reading real books much better. You can cuddle yourself in your bed with a good book on a rainy or cold day. You can't do that with an e-book (okay, if you own a laptop maybe, but it's still not the same). Reading an ebook just doesn't give me the same feeling as reading a book, it is a bit harder to really dive into the world.
I think I would even miss the smell of a new book and as I am collecting books, I would miss to put them on my shelf.
