Those shifts are hard. You lose entire day and if you work tommorrow in mornig you don't have to much time for rest. Plus time spend on driving. Only few hours and it is already very late.
In November and December I had it many. Now it I have it again. It is not easy but I got extra money with those extra hours. Good bars are closed so I just work and sleep.

I offered to work a twelve hour shift once, when a lady called in sick. The Administration would not allow it, for some reason I didn't understand.

@mrki444 Yes, that's why my boss said NO. We were never allowed to receive time&1/2 for overtime hours.

In the past I sometimes worked from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., I was able to rest for one hour and afterwards I worked from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. My longest shift was 16 hours without a break, but that didn't happen very often. Those shifts weren't supposed to last 16 hours, but sometimes a coworker didn't show up for work and I had two shifts in a row (8 hours + 8 hours)

I used to do those shifts often back in 2019....It's extremely tiring and not worth it in my opinion, you just feel your life flying away
