Celebrating 500 Hundred Years of Christianity in the Philippines.

Considering our Lord Jesus was born and preached His ministry in Asia, it is truly interesting that it took a millennium and a half before the faith came to our archipelago just below the land mass that is China. And the religion came via Spanish ships that got lost in the vast ocean. The Portuguese Magellan thought he reached India. But then he died not soon after from a fatal wound courtesy of our valiant Lapu-lapu who engaged the pale-skinned aliens in a mortal combat. Must be for a good reason that late did the mission arrive but I would not dwell on that. What is important is that the faith did arrive and the people embraced our Lord Jesus when He was known to us. It's been 500 years and the Filipinos are belting out a heartfelt song of gratitude for the blessing of Christianity. Here's a cursory story of our faith in a song.
