Needed a ME day

Every now and then I think this is necessary. A day where you can ignore your to do list, take a long bath with essential oils, and do something mindless and enjoyable.
I did this a couple days ago and it involved driving 1 hour and a half into the country, stopping at a couple shops here and there, listening to podcasts, and got a hotel at the casino in this small town. I gambled some, took a long bath and did a face mask, drank a couple seltzers, read, and got a lot of peaceful sleep. It was nice!
I realized that THAT was my first time getting a hotel by myself, ever (besides one work trip where they gave me my own hotel room, but that doesn’t count). I have never travelled ANYWHERE on my own, and I might like to in the future... but I am not sure.
I think going forward though I will try to carve out some “sanity” solo day trips or overnight trips. Why not?
Do you travel alone? When was the last time you took a. ME day?
Photo is from my journey after turning onto an icy dirt road accidentally..

That sounds very nice. I'm on vacation right now, so I guess every day is a ME day. I don't like traveling alone and have never stayed in a hotel by myself.
I did go on a trip by myself years ago and ended up in a hospital. That wasn't fun and is probably the reason I won't travel alone anymore.

Me days are good, especially when you work as hard as you do.

I always take "ME" days. It is a bit harder now with a baby. I haven't traveled in about 10 years. I just don't have the money to do it.
