Nail in shoe

This was a close call. A few days ago my 8 year old said there was something in his show. We where out at Target and we where getting ready to leave. So I stopped at the water founded since it was out of the way of other people leaving. Gave him some time to fix his shoe so it wouldn’t bother him. He started picking at the bottom of his shoe. I asked him what are you doing? Out comes a piece of metal. I had him show it to me and ti was a small mail. Like a wall hanging nail or a small wood nail. My husband asked him if it cut him or made him bleed. Trying to make sure we didn’t need to take him to the doctor and get a shot. Thankfully not the case. He was okay didn’t break the nail. So glad that the souls of his shoes are still thick. We did warn the kids if they where going to play outside for the next few days to becareful since we are pretty sure he got the nail stuck outside near one of the neighbors houses because they where having some things fixed outside. Then we made sure to get the nail to the trash can so nobody else stepped on it.
