First Signs of Spring

I know it's early to be looking for signs of spring, but I'm a bit eager. It's been a long, long winter, so I've been scratching around to see what's poking it's head out. Today I snapped this photo of some of our daffodils making their first appearance. They are one of the first things to bloom. Crocuses usually bloom before daffodils, but I don't have any of those planted. Note to myself to plant some this fall.
Spring must be right around the corner, and I plan to be out each day looking for it, weather permitting.

The universe doesn't know what season it's supposed to be. We'll have spring-like weather, followed by drops in the cold. It's only January, and according to the calendar, we have a month-and-half left.

If you ask my husband, it could be summer year-round. And, he'd be happy.@pjmurphy

It will be here soon enough. I looked at the extended forecast Feb. is supposed to be warm so spring will probably come busting out all over. Personally, I can wait. I hate hot weather.

@pjmurphy That's a good expectation. Hope it will. Last year we were unaware that March would be the start of people's misery.
