My daughter is now fourteen years old today. I baked her a caramel cake. I am happy that it looks nice and the taste is not too sweet. My daughter is very happy since she likes caramel cake. I was trying to order one from two popular bakeshop here but they are quite far from me and they only allow pick up of the cake so I just made one myself. The caramel cake greet my daughter after waking up. Do you have any favorite flavor of cake?

I love Black Forest cake, I had my first slice of it in Toronto decades ago and fell in love with it right away. I later introduce my parents to it and they loved it too,

@marlina I cannot remember the first time I had my first slice, may be in Vienna, or in Frankfurt and it was many years ago. It is the most popular cake here.

Happy Happy Birthday to your daughter! That sounds like a delicious cake for a non sweet eater like me. You did a beautiful job! I like a yellow or white birthday cake with custard between the layers and a white buttercream frosting with lots of pink flowers. It makes me nauseous, but I do enjoy it on my birthday.
