Had my camera setup with the tripod behind the patio doors today. Filled up the deck feeder with peanuts and waited.
Did not take long before the birds started showing up. So cool to watch and see who shows up.
Blue Jays are common this time of year. Cardinals, doves, grackles, black birds, crows and this woodpecker. A red bellied woodpecker I call Ivar.
Snapped this shot and got both birds in one photo. Usually the birds wait for Ivar to eat, but this blue jay was able to sneak a peanut.
More of those little things to enjoy in life.
Photo is mine. @CarolDM

You got a great shot. That looks professional. I bet they would feature that in an Audobon magazine.

What a beautiful scene. We have two big trees that are always nested by birds. I see their nests with their babies and I am so excited to watch them grow each day. I watch them every morning from our terrace as the sunrises and their mom is like spoon feeding them using her beak.
