Well, that was NOT fun

My kitchen and bathroom floors are hard ceramic tile. I like that you can clean them, and bleach them, etc. The surface is very durable. . . and very hard.
After supper I put the left over chicken and rice in a glass dish, and turned my back on it. I do not know how it happened, but it fell.
Crash! chicken, rice, veggies, sauce and pyrex glass went all over the kitchen.
Let us just say that that was not fun.

Sorry, that had to happen. I have had those moments. I think I put something directly on the counter but somehow it toppled and fell on the floor,

Yes, this was sitting on the stove. I was going to wash the bigger dish. I ended up sweeping up everything with hubby helping and then mopping.

Well I hope you are least had shoes on and that doesn't sound fun at all plus now you're missing your leftovers and your pyrex dish.

Socks, which became gooey with sauce. Pyrex is not sharp, though. Yes, I really like that dish a lot.

Oh bugger. That's such a terrible thing to happen. Spaghetti sauce though, would have been worse and you'd have a huge clean-up, finding hidden sauce bits weeks later.
There are so many issues when this sort of thing happens. I feel for you.

This had a mushroom sauce with veggies. I frequently find glass bits under the edge of the cabinet. Spaghettie sauce would be worse as it would be red and stain things.

@GardenGerty Oh no! what a terrible waste of mushrooms sauce. Not to mention the shattered glass dish and veggies.

@GardenGerty Now, you have to make another meal.
And don't get a sliver of pyrex in your foot!

The cat came and sniffed the floor after I swept everything up and before I mopped.

I find myself wishing for something rubbery to put on over this tile as it does not all match anyway.

It did take a while. I would imagine I may still find glass bits that flew clear to the laundry room.

@GardenGerty I'm sure you will. I know when my pyrex exploded, I was finding glass for weeks.

I hate when that happens. That is not fun at all and a mess to clean up afterwards.

It can be hard to collect up all the tiny chips of glass. The best thing is to get an old rag you don't want, wet it and wring it out, then wipe all over the floor. It will pick up all those tiny shard that even the vacuum doesn't get, and then throw it all away.

I swept it into a dust pan and then used a microfiber to mop with. Your solution sounds good. I imagine I may still find glass. This shattered and spread.

Yes, it was, and it covered a great deal of space.
