Sometimes you just can’t win. I thought John Fogerty’s rocking song yesterday would be good, but it gave some people CMS (Country Migraine Syndrome). NO chance of that happening today! Although these guys did write a country hit (“Islands in the Stream”), there’s NOTHING country about them or this.

Ah, those Gibb boys. I love using songs from their earlier career to help those who only know them from Saturday Night Fever realize they were NOT one trick ponies.
This is one of their greatest ballads, and one of their most memorable songs from either era of success.
And yes, they really did write the Kenny Rogers/Dolly Parton hit “Islands in the Stream.”

I thought you were talking about John Fogarty in your post, and I was confused about why it showed Barry Gibb in the thumbnail. Now it all makes sense!
