Hello everyone, how was your day? I hope it was good. Back to share my weight loss journey for the day. I did go up on the scale once again; not sure how much entirely. Going to change things up on February 1st - with diet plan and weigh ins (maybe). Blood sugars: Fasting - 200 Meal 1 - 112 Meal 2 -- Meal 3 - 196 Let's see, what did I eat? Meal 1 - Low carb pizza wrap (low carb tortilla, pizza sauce, pepperoni, and cheese) (on my new plan this would be 10 pts or so) Snack - Low carb PB cup fat bomb Meal 2 - 2 mozzarella sticks, some popcorn chicken and a few fries Meal 3 - Compleat meal (mashed potatoes and gravy with chicken) Snack - 2 Oreo cookies. There is a new flavor I really wanted to try. "Brookie" The filling has 3 layers - brownie, original, and cookie dough. In the future, maybe I will have 1 after a big workout....but don't need to have it at night. So, macros for the day? Calories - 1,234 Protein - 60 Fat - 60 Carbs - 124 Fiber - 17 I did not get a workout in today...just needed a few days off. Probably won't get one tomorrow either since I have a doctor's appointment. Ugh...not looking forward to that. Anyways, how did I do? I bet the scale will go up again. Maybe the new plan will work if I work out consistently, I hope. Also, how did you all do?

@DocAndersen Well I know Keto/Low carb works. I have proved it in the past.

@MommyOfEli2013 as Thomas Edison said "I didn't fail, I just found ways that didn't work."

Your numbers are a bit high. I did okay. Right now the scale is up, but it usually comes down after I exercise. I'm going to the Y today, so I should see some normalcy on the scale when I get home.

@MommyOfEli2013 It always comes down at least a pound from my wake-up weight. Sometimes more.

@just4him Well that is interesting because weight usually goes up throughout the day.

You really want this, which is great. I've been on the Keto diet and have lost 17 pounds, which I guess is better than nothing.

I want it more than anything, but feel hopeless since I keep losing and gaining the same 4-5 pounds. That's amazing you lost 17 on Keto!

Why not try to set smaller goals? I know you've talked about a new food plan, but maybe start by working out three to four times a week giving yourself breaks in-between? It might help to start a habit.

@MommyOfEli2013 Obviously, othrwise you wouldn't need to keep trying new things. You'd find something that works and stick to it. What I mean by smaller goals, is set something you know you can accomplish. And, see how long you can stick to it. Then add to it over time.

@kaylachan Trouble is, I don't know what I can accomplish. If I do low carb my menu is so limited because I am a picky eater. So it does get boring and there is not a lot of "convenience" meals with this diet...so when I am tired/not in the mood to cook it's easier to go to something off plan.

That is good to hear.

I think running is a good way to achieve this goal. Eat less and run. Your body will utilize fat energy. This will be helpful.

@MommyOfEli2013 Don't get discouraged. You can still lose weight and stay within your carb limits if you try.
