Blue socks

Isn't it fun how things start to bother us over time... I work in an office and have have a limited color scheme when it comes to my clothes, which my wife hates but that's a whole different story. I have some black, brown, gray and blue slacks that I kind of rotate with various shirts. I call Friday's my dress down day and normally wear jeans. I try to wear a pair of socks that matches or goes along with my color scheme of the day - black slacks - black socks; gray slack - black or gray socks, and so on. A while back, maybe a year or so, I noticed that I didn't have any blue socks. When I wear a pair of blue slacks I normally wear black socks and when I wear jeans I wear brown socks. So I started thinking to myself, self, why don't you have any blue socks? I couldn't come up with an answer. After a couple minutes I moved on. Since then I've been in stores and I actually looked for blue socks but each time it's been like $10 for a single pair. I could find black packages of 3 pair in black, brown, and even some ugly green ones. But no bundles of blue. What the heck over...... Are blue socks that important that we can't bundle them in pairs of 3 like every other color? I guess my only choice is to bite the bullet, brush the cobwebs off my wallet and buy a single pair of blue socks.
