Physically tired

I am putting my small student through vigorous physical activities in the afternoon. He gets tired, but so do I. He has not been on the tricycle this year at all, until today. He does not see, does not pedal on his own and has to be encouraged to leave his hands on the handlebars. His feet strap into place on the pedals with velcro. There is a long handle in the back to push the trike. I mostly was in front of the trike though, holding the handle bars with him. This is an important piece of equipment for him to use as it is teaching his brain to alternate his feet and strengthening his lower body. He LOVES it. We went down a hall, and then outside to the front sidewalk. Both of us were working hard. About that time the new head of special education came to visit the school. I guess she could see we are working. Working with the kids energizes me. I will keep it up as long as I can.

I know that you like working with the kids, but I can understand that it can be exhausting. I had one day the past week when I really felt physically tired, I wonder what happened.

I remember learning how to ride a bike with my late dad. I didn't even start with training wheels. If I fall, I fall. But it was a good memory nonetheless.

I am glad to hear you seem to enjoy what you're doing. Hopefully, one day, he'll be able to do it on his own.
