@thelme55 On e I shut the sound off, it stays off unless I turn it on. I do like the beep it makes to let me know the laundry is dry.

I can also put that sound off the machine but sometimes, I am too busy to do so that I can´t do it right away.

Mine just buzzes and then stops. A friend has one that plays a chime which lasts for about two minutes.

I wouldn't like my washing machine to make a noise when it's finished - mine just switches itself off. That shepherd's pie looks delicious.

So it needs repair or replacement. Is it a Top Load or a Front Load? Front Load ones sometimes have balancing issues. Or may be some part replacement might work?

The washing machine of my daughters beep 5 times when it’s dine with the wash. I’ve counted the number of times our washing machine back home beeps. BTW, before we left for NZ last year, I won a digital washing machine during the annual representative assembly of our cooperative.

I used to have an LG and thankfully, she never shout as well. She turned off on her own when she's done. Good girl that LG. Haven't buy her replacement yet.

My washing machine emits no sound and I am happy because it is downstairs in the basement, it could shout for hours and no one would hear it.
