Birthday cake. / myLot

Good day friends Today it is cloudy and cold here, but when I think it is January now, it is still a great time. Today was a lazy day until I realized I had to make myself a cake for my birthday tomorrow.

I never enjoy when I have to do it for myself, I would like a surprise for me.

I’m in the process of making a fictional cake with the ingredients I have at home.

Are you making yourself a birthday cake or waiting for someone else to do it?

Please let us know how the cake turned out. I do not like making my own cakes either. I usually have a friend do it for me. Or we buy it.

Yes, I will, I make with strawberries and chocolate and biscuits. Yes, I think it is much better when someone else does it for us.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Yes, I think it will be delicious. The crust will be made of biscuits, cream, chocolate, rum, hazelnuts, the filling is made of strawberries and I will put whipped sweet sour cream on top. I have never tried an ice cream cake.

Since I don't celebrate my birthday, there's usually no cake for me on that day. Except last year when my friend surprised me. But I would buy cake occasionally to eat with my family.

@Nevena83 When we lived in Monte Carlo sometimes I went to buy a cake. We had a great pastry store not far from home.

@LadyDuck I know two pastry shops that have fantastic cakes, which are too tasty, but not close, so I don't buy from them for years. And everything else is mostly nicely decorated, and their taste is average.

I make myself a birthday cake, the cake that I love to eat. What cake do you want to make? Chocolate? It is very nice when someone surprises us with a birthday cake on our birthday.
