I heard on the radio one time that oat milk was one of the most frequently orders grocery products. I saw it on sale today and bought some. It is really creamy and tastes like whole milk for only 90 calories per 8 oz. Delicious! Have you ever tried oat milk?

I have not but this makes me want to try it. It would have to be treat because it has far too many carbs for my liking though.

It is much more like whole milk than any of those plant based milks I have tried.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Almond milk doesn't bother me but I hate the unsweetened and the sweetened..doesn't taste like milk.

@snowy22315 It probably wouldn't make my stomach hurt like almond milk does.

@snowy22315 There are many recipes to make oatmeal milk, very easy, rolled oat, water, maple syrup (or sugar syrup) a bit of vanilla extract if you like.

@LadyDuck It would definitely be cheaper to make it than but it.

I've heard it was quite good but hadn't tried it myself. I've seen it at Trader Joe's and at Target . . . it's been staring at me .

It's nice you found some on sale. Here, oat milk costs about $5 a carton. My daughter and I use almond milk. It is cheaper and lasts a couple of weeks, in the fridge, after opening it.

@snowy22315 We only use milk in our cooking, so almond milk works fine. Maybe if I was going to drink it I'd try oat milk, but since I'm not, it doesn't matter.

I have been drinking Cashew milk that is only 25 calories per cup. Oat milk sounds good. I'll have to try it.

What do you think of the cashew milk? I know unsweetened almond milk is about 60 cake per cup .but don't care for that at all.

@snowy22315 There is one cashew milk that is 60 calories per cup. It is pretty nice. I added sweetener to the 25 calories one until I got used to it. It doesn't taste like milk, but I am not looking for something that tastes like milk.

No no oat milk for us. Doesn't sound good. Have tried almond and didn't like it. I suppose if I develop an allergy I would try it.

It seems they make 'milk' out of anything these days. I haven't tried this yet but it's good to have it recommended.

Never heard of oat milk. I hear a lot talking about almond milk, which I tried. Not a big fan of milk. This one sounds healthy.... I just read that this milk is lactose-free. Maybe I will give it a try.

We have used oat milk and enjoy it. As we avoid animal products for various reasons, some in our family can't have dairy, so oat and almond milk are used instead. The oat milk does seem tastier.
