Coke With Coffee

At first, when I heard Coca-Cola was coming out with a Coke with coffee, I thought this sounded like a bad idea. I mean, it did not sound horrible. Just a little bit weird.
When I was at Walmart this past Saturday I saw they had some there, and even though a 12 ounce can is $1.88 (very expensive), I decided to pick up a can of caramel and a can of dark roast.
Last night the wife and I tried the caramel one, and I have to admit it is not bad at all. In fact, it is good.
Not good enough for me to rush to buy more of it. But I am sure there will be some who will enjoy this more regularly.
For me it's just not $1.88 good.

@Tina30219 Oh. Hmm. Not even at Walmart? I see it almost everywhere now including most gas station convenience stores.

I'll usually try all the uhhh... odd flavors the different soda companies come out with but you can keep that one! That sounds nasty!

@porwest I don't care for coffee, anyway. I used to drink it but my first wife got sick if she smelled coffee so I gave it up. I've tried drinking it again since our divorce but didn't like the taste anymore. *sigh*
Did you try the Pepsi with salted caramel flavor? The first taste was good but the more of it you drank the worse it tasted. I have no idea why.

@porwest I'm always finding new things in Walmart so sometimes I'll pick up something just to try it. When the salted caramel Pepsi came out another company brought out a salted caramel ice cream. The Pepsi product didn't go over well enough for them to keep making it but you really should try the salted caramel ice cream. It's delicious!
When I need something to get me started in the morning, I just drink Mt. Dew. (Maybe once a year, if that.)

Nope. Not for me. I like my Diet Coke with a slice of orange when we go out to eat.

That's interesting! I haven't seen one as of yet. I am willing to try it but I hope they could lower the price.

@ARIES1973 I would think eventually this would make its way there. Might be a few years though. It was introduced in Europe I believe about two or three years ago before it finally was decided to bring it here.

Good too know it might be somewhat good. I can't imagine the combination either but some are choosing to try it out where I work.

@MarshaMusselman I always go back from time to time to check on older posts to make sure I actually took the time to respond to everyone. I don't like to leave people hanging. lol

No, not worth the price at all. I have marveled at how easily the beverage companies can bilk their customers with these new 'energy' products. The cost to make them is not any different than the cost of making regular soda, but they charge quite a bit more.
Ingenious really.

@porwest Well at least you've tasted it. First time also that I saw Coke in 650ml cans here in NZ when we went to Tauranga.

Excellent review: Good, but not as good as 'keeping your money' (i.e. it's not worth so much).
Reminds me of those workers you hear about who make $50,000 a year by 'coming in once a month & tightening a screw.'

It sounds awful! What a way to ruin a perfectly good Coke.
