How to be a good guitar player?

It's been couple of years since the day I started playing guitar. And currently still not able to play a fast lick over the fretboard. I tried watching multiple videos but still my finger moves the way it was before.

Keep practising. Practise a lick every day over and over and gradually push yourself to go a bit faster.

@JudyEv, thanks for that advice. I actually do daily practice holding my electric guitar while watching tutorials online. By the way, I hope you and your sister will definitely see each other soon.

Just take your time and keep at it. You'll get it when you're ready.

@Dhabie04 NO. NO. NO. I have no talents for the arts I think. Ahaha I bake, cook, read, do cross stitch. I like to dance and sing but the songs does not like me one bit and I am maybe two to three seconds delayed with the song choreography

@raksi, hi there, too. No worries, everyone seems to try playing any of the instruments even singing or dancing. Do you sing or dance?

@rakski That's fine. We are all born with unique talents and preference. Maybe you have talent in cooking or baking since those are your common/daily routine.

I teach my guitar students to practice scales. I am a professional, but I am not a particularly "fast" player. I prefer "tasty."

@TheHorse, that's cool. I wish I could go to your place so that we can play together and at the same time teaching me with all your mastery about playing guitar.

@Dhabie04 Can you work on the essential chords, like D, G, C, and A? And then learn some of the essential scales, like G, and C. Once you have those, you can play many of the songs that exist if the Filipino, American, and (etc.) musical lexicon.

That's one of my bucket lists to learn how to play the guitar but I think it's too late for me to learn it.
