The fun and agonizing feeling of raising 14 puppies

The first question that you'll probably ask me is "How in the world did you get 14 puppies?" Well, Those puppies were born from three different mothers and there is only one father. We had 5 dogs. 3 females and 2 males. One male is neutered and the other is scheduled to be neutered and that un-neutered boy fathered those 14 puppies. But It all started when the vets were closed for a while during lockdown, and because of my work, I couldn't schedule my dog for neutering. The dreaded day came when all of the females started to be in heat. They got linked for maybe at least 2 times before I realized it and hid the girls. I was hoping that they won't get pregnant or maybe just one of them. But they all got pregnant. Ugh. So when they got pregnant I was hoping that they won't have too much puppies.
The first female gave birth to 3 puppies. So far so good. Yay. The next dog gave birth to 6 puppies....oh no and the next one gave birth to 5 puppies. I was so happy, paranoid and stressed at the same time. Thankfully all of the mothers breastfed and were very caring mothers so it lessened the burden of having to bottle feed puppies.
Then came the time that they have to be weaned. So me and my sister put them in a big pen where they can frolic and play. They were called the puppy collective hehe. I was the one who did most of it from feeding them three times a day, cleaning their place, cleaning them and bringing them to the vet plus playing with them. Can you imagine the bags under my eyes. yeah I can put things in them now lol. Well we got 10 puppies adopted to their furever homes and we are keeping 4 puppies. So we now have 9 dogs in total. Yay.
It's fun to take care of them and agonizing at the same time because you can't sleep properly because what if one puppy climbed out of the pen or what if they fight too much or did I put away my cleaning stuff? But all in all, it was a fun(?) few months lol. Are they adorable and cute? Yes they are. Do I wanna do it again? Absolutely not.
The dad is scheduled to have his balls confiscated to prevent him becoming a weapon of mass insemination so no worries on there now. So that's it for my puppy adventures.

Oh God, I can't imagine it. My sister now has 6 kittens (they are 1 month old), and she thinks her 6 months cat is pregnant. With 6 kittens, she already feels stress. The kitten's mom is a good mom, but 6 kittens are just too much, so my sister also gives them milk.

A litter of puppies! Yay. Try to find humans who would care for them.

So that's one of the side effects of covid and lockdown - population explosion :)
