Workin' it

Usual day: slowly starting a batch of bread. Hubby jumped in and finished the dough, saying he liked to knead bread dough. Less work for me! Rufus started the day well. It is his first day that he did not have a leash on. He ran the front yard freely. It is fenced though there is a low spot toward the back- three acres so if he gets loose, there is room for error. Not long after I'd taken the bread buns from the oven, boom. My right leg decided to spasm and not in a nice way. Sciatica woke up?? (Old fall from a horse issue.) Anyway, the nasty pain in my leg and hip area kept up its rat a tat tat. Beyond heck to walk. Hubby was sweet. He kicked right into supporting me, making a decent supper. I laid down for a nap after supper then got the idea to use a plastic step stool as a seat when I showered. I wanted the warm water without the tension of standing up. Hubby brought the stool into the little shower stall. That hot water felt great. We're snacking on leftover home made fruitcake and sharp cheddar and listening to a crime novel. Hubby's love makes the pain bearable. I'm grateful for what I have.

I hope that pain goes away before the end of the day. Also hope Rufus wasn't bored enough to try to find a way out.

@rebelann Many people don't like Cattledogs cause at times they can be more coyote pup than tame couch potato. I keep telling myself this when Rufus again goes after Saia cat. Distract, distract, distract!

It can make such a difference when our spouse shows they care. It doesn't matter how they express it but they let us know we are loved.

It is good you can be grateful inspite of the pain. When I lose a day due to pain or illness, I am always grateful that I can just take a day or two to heal.
