Wednesday Musings & COVID vaccine

How’s it going? It’s 1113p in my world on Wednesday (which is my new Monday) and I am really dragging my feet. 45 minutes left of work and I am exhausted. Outside, it is sleeting/freezing rain. Yesterday morning I received a Moderna COVID vaccine. My employer actually came through for us! since we are “essential” but not quite as essential as front line workers. About 6 hours after receiving the 1st shot, I felt nauseas, general fatigue, and a bit of a body ache. The nausea went away after about an hour. Now all I’m left with is fatigue and some arm pain (it hurts to lift the arm I got the shot in! Worse than any other shot I’ve had). Next dose will come in ~28 days. I am convinced the symptoms for the next one will be bad. Only time will tell though. I got a few things done today that I was proud of-did a Target order, did a little bit of EMT studying, got 30 mins of walking in on the treadmill and another 15 at a nearby park (pictured). and ordered a cute home made Etsy gift for a friends birthday. Tomorrow, I have to work also but I plan on trying out my sisters air fryer on tofu. I have decided on reducing my carb intake... not officially doing KETO but I’m going to try to do my own thing and concentrate more on carbs than calories. I have been SO hungry restricting on calories. However, there is a ton of carbs in fruits and veggies, which is what I need to subside on since I am vegetarian. But, more to come as I do research on that. Any plans this week? Has anyone gotten the COVID vaccines- and what was your experience? Hope everyone stays safe.

They are vaccinating the over 75 here for the moment, so it's not yet our turn.

The plan is for me to go to my nephew's place, but it is still waiting for a decision from our government whether it is allowed or not. We still not yet got a vaccine.

What the WHO says, for the moment anyway, is I can’t get it because of medicine allergies. That’ll probably change in a week, but right now they’re recommending that people with allergies NOT get the vaccine.

My best friend is a nurse, and while they offered her the vaccine they offered her the Pfizer vaccine. She wants the kind you got, and it waiting for her hospital to get it.

In our country the priority for getting vaccines is the leaders and health workers, the general public will still not get a vaccine in the near future
