Fried garlic

I went to the store to get fried garlic for First sister. I also want a pack for myself to eat with rice or any other food. I never been to particular store so I didn't know where to look for it. So I asked the owner. She said they're at the back. Okay, I went to the back and didn't know where to look. I found fried shallots but not fried garlic. Maybe the owner didn't hear me properly? Maybe I heard her wrong? So I asked a staff who was arranging the items nearby. He said they didn't sell it. He even had the audacity to snicker at me. The heck! Okay, maybe he didn't know, so I asked a female staff instead. She looked very confused at my question At that point, I was really annoyed. So I called my friend, who referred me to the store. She was already outside as she wanted to buy something as well, but changed her mind when she saw the queue outside the store. My friend gave me a specific direction on where to go and what to look at. There they were! The fried garlic! I asked her whether she wanted a pack as well and she said yes. So I grabbed four. Two for First sister. I passed the male staff on my way out. I couldn't help but to show it to his face. "This is the fried garlic! It does exist!" Image source : m.my.sinoespecias.com

I don't understand how they don't know as well. But he also shouldn't laugh to a customer. That's very rude.

That's true. It's not like they can remember everything in there. It's a huge store too.

@prinzcy in here, a shop staff is assigned to a particular product brand and usually they stay/stand near their product’s aisle

@sol_cee same in some store. I don't know how it works in in this one. Maybe he's stocking the whole store or just near the lane. Maybe he didn't even remember what he was stocking. Just grab boxes and fill the rack as being told.

I would say that they were quite unprofessional there. They work in that store and should be able to help customers for such simple questions. Good that you pointed it out to the male staff there.

It would be much appreciated if they politely say they just apologize and say they don't know instead of laughing. It's understandable if they can't remember everything in the store. I hope he remember the fried garlic after this.

Not everyone loves it. Perhaps due to the smell?
