I'm convinced our meteorologists have been replaced by hamsters

That's the only reason why the extended weather has changed so much. Snow No wait.. rain Snow again and it keeps switching for the same two or three days! Make up your minds! Do your meteorolgists know what the heck they are talking about?

True. Woke up this morning and now they say we have a chance of snow the day after tomorrow. I highly doubt it since we will be 50 degrees!

@moffittjc We're supposed to get rain and snow mix tomorrow. Our high will be in the 50's though so I doubt it will stick.

NO. Our meteorologists ramble on and on about weather we can expect. Then, the complete opposite happens!

So very true! They'll repeat the same things hour after hour and then when it comes time for that predicted weather it's never what they say it will be.

@kobesbuddy So true! They just spout off whatever seems to make sense. I trust the european weather models more than any other forecast.

That can be annoying especially if you make extra purchases to prepare.

Meteorologists never know what they're talking about! (Uhm... at 33, I'd think you'd realize that.) I just checked... the weather forecast here still shows freezing rain for this weekend and very low temps for the next week.

There was a span of time when the weather channel was pretty spot on with their weather. Actually, I find the most accurate weather for my area comes from accuweather.com, still not always spot on though.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Accuweather.com is what my phone uses. Usually, it's pretty close.

They seem to be pretty close with the predictions lately but generally I don't pay much attention since they're usually wrong

Finally ours are pretty on target with the forecast. And I have a weather app on my phone.

It's the weather app (weather channel) that I am referring to. I check it once a day and they can't decide whether we will get snow or rain.

@CarolDM So true! I just wish we would get snow. My bones have been chilled too much lately and I just want snow.

Hamsters would do a better job . Last week they said we would have rain on Tuesday, no Wednesday - and then it barely showered Monday - and then never again . I look up the weather forecasts all the time, but realize they are only maybe's .

@ScribbledAdNauseum I watch for it on the morning news . . . then at night . . . and maybe 2 sites (I don't bookmark these things - just find whatevers in a search). It's always changing!!

Yeah! It keeps switching what days will do what. I mostly focus on the weather channel app on my phone but even the local weather guys have no idea what's going on.

I'm referring to the weather channel... Years ago we knew when they predicted a severe thunderstorm it was really a tornado and if it was a tornado they predicted then we should expect a severe thunderstorm.

You're right! I can't imagine how difficult it is to predict the weather but they seem to be botching it.

@ScribbledAdNauseum because the weather became so unpredictable, maybe they thought they can get away with it with just relaying something to people

In their defense, the weather is constantly changing; and they are dealing with many models of what the weather will be in a day, two, three or a week later.

Exactly. I usually believe the european models for North American weather, they seem to be more spot on.
