Fun Food Facts- Expensive Pizza & Ranch Dressing

What was the most expensive pizza you ever bought? My local pub's large pizza price has risen to $18.50 if you add items, over twice what a Dominos pie would cost. But, I shouldn't complain because that's cheap compared to buying the World's Most Expensive Pizza.
MOST EXPENSIVE PIE IN THE WORLD
-The cost of that pie would set you back around $12,000 dollars! No not twelve-hundred, I said twelve-thousand dollars and it's not topped with gold dust,
Talk about made to order! It takes 72 hours to make, and it can only be made in your home by 3 Italian chefs. Items include 3 types of caviar, bufala mozzarella, lobster from Norway and Cilento, and pink Australian sea salt.
Mama Mia! Unbelievable! Would you try a slice?
RANCH DRESSING
Do you like Ranch Dressing? It's so white and creamy looking. Is that a natural look or is something added to make that color? Seems Ranch Dressing needs sun protection to achieve that pure white appeal.
-Ranch dressing is dyed. Yes, dyed with an ingredient called titanium dioxide which is used to make it look whiter. And why did I reference sun protection? Well, because titanium dioxide is the same ingredient that is used in sunscreen. Wonder what SPF factor they use?
Still going to buy ranch dressing or will you be switching?
So, what do you think of these fun food facts?

I'd try the pizza sans the caviar. I like ranch dressing. It's about all I eat these days. I can spread it on my arms if we go to Florida this year. :-) Interesting post.

@dgobucks226 Can I ask you something that I've been wondering for a long time? Are you a male or a female?

@LindaOHio I'll be changing my profile photo today so you can see. My fish one is usually during summertime. Got lazy and forgot to change it, lol.

It’s good to know that about ranch dressing, in case I run out of sunscreen.

@dgobucks226 There are not many lobsters in that area, but it seems they are delicious, big lobsters.

Yes, that's what I call overkill. I would like to try that expensive lobster though.
Thanks for adding that info about lobsters of Cilento. Only offered in one restaurant? They must be rare to find.

@dgobucks226 My favourite dressing is just olive oil and lemon juice with honey and herbs. I am not fond of ketchup and mayonnaise. I make my own salad dressing.

I see. What your secret to making such a good pizza? And I bet your price would be a bit more reasonable

Yes, a pie for the rich and famous. Maybe it's more affordable by the slice.
Well, if you run out of suntan lotion you could find another use for that ranch dressing you don't like

I guess I have never had ranch dressing so cannot say whether I like it or not. I make my own Russian dressing and it is very good. Very interesting facts you shared with us. I like certain pizza and have not had it in ages so do not know how expensive it is.

I have not gone to pizza places or ordered take out in ages and get individual ones at the store when want. I use mine for salads. That is nice that you use it for a spread for a sandwich.

I like Russian dressing too. For salads and I sometimes use it in place of mayo as a spread when making a sandwich.
Pizza prices have really risen in recent years. It's become a treat for me now.

Thanks very much, considering Ranch is my absolute favorite dressing. lol.
As for that pizza, they can keep it. I have paid way more than $18.50 for one. Of course I like a pizza with everything on it. Two that come to mind are the Apondanza from Pizza World which has about 12 toppings on it and the Extravaganza from Dominos that I believe has at least eight to ten.
But $12,000? Nope. They can keep it.

Sorry about the Ranch facts. I like ranch too. Domino's was started out by a couple of college kids who bought out a pizza joint called DomiNick's to pay there way through college. They got a $900 loan from there mother and eventually turned it into an iconic name brand. I thought you could appreciate these innovative guys and this terrific success story!

@dgobucks226 All business people fascinate me and I very much enjoy the study of them. There's a fantastic docuseries on the History Channel right now you might like called "The Food That Built America" or something like that. They talk about the Dominos guys in the episodes. Absolutely fantastic series.
