does anyone know or have any idea how i can become a teaching assistant for nursery or young children? i dont want a full time job or to be a teacher but to just help out would bring me so much joy. i've looked online but really unsure how to go about it.

In the school system here, these are full time jobs, usually with a one year contract.. But they have a list of substitute Educational Aides to call. It is possible to apply without training. But applicants with a one or two year college course will be preferred.

This doesn't give us a lot of information to go on. It's going to be different from country to country, region to region, state to state and maybe even county / town / province to well count/town/province.
Most of the time you are going to have to complete some sort of schooling.

@omgitsajenny I would just look online or contact a few places to find out their requirements.

Once I applied for this post too and was told to help the teacher in teaching pre schoolers the alphabets, help to prepare the teaching aids when required, consoling crying kids and settle the mess they made.
