Phone Support for A Special Friend

Have been busy on this Saturday. Got laundry and other things done inside. Bird bath cleaned and peanuts out for the birds earlier. They have eaten them all for now.
Got a phone call from a special friend as well. She is a longtime childhood friend that lives a few states away.
We have a special bond and are always there to listen when the other needs to vent. No advice is given, just non-judgmental listening.
She has children and now grandchildren. Many issues to talk about. And it is always good to hear from her.

@CarolDM Absolutely! I have two lovely ladies in my life that I simply don't think I could ever replace. I know I am lucky to have two.

@CarolDM I went to see my uncle today...just broke my heart. He can't sit up in his wheelchair, but might get pneumonia if he stays in bed. There's no good solution except for God taking him home.

That is great. I don't have any friends of long duration like that. I had the one who passed away but we weren't in contact. I was friend s with a guy I have known since college, but we stopped talking a few years back. Nothing in common really.
