In 1965 The Rolling Stones came out with their second album Rolling Stones No.2 and the album got to number one on the Uk charts. In 1982 Kraftwerk got to number one on the UK singles chart with "The Model/Computer Love" They were the first German act to get a UK number-one single, It stayed at the top for 21 weeks. The same year The J. Geils Band were at number one on the US singles chart with "Centrefold" and stayed there for 6 weeks. It was their only US number one. Meanwhile, the band's album Freeze Frame got to number one on the US album chart the same day and stayed there for 4 weeks. In 2005 Eminem was at number one on the UK singles chart with "Like a Toy Soldier" It was the rappers 6th number one taken from the album Encore In 2014 the song "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana was named the greatest song of all time by NMI. It was one of the last songs written for NIvana's breakthrough album Nevermind released in 1991. The other top tracks were 5: 'Last Nite', The Strokes, 4: 'How Soon Is Now?', The Smiths, 3: 'I Feel Love', Donna Summer, 2: 'Love Will Tear Us Apart', Joy Division

"Greatest song of all time"? Baloney. Then again, those "greatest ever" lists are basically meant to generate sales, controversy, and publicity for whoever made it.

I just write them the way they are but personally, I never heard the song and I thought the title was ridiculous so I agree with you @FourWalls

Always liked The J. Geils Band and Nirvana. That is not the greatest song of all time IMO.
