Hi there and good to see you are still here! Yes all is well for the moment thank you. I just couldn't find time to be here and when I could my computer didn't work as nothing updated and from the phone was so difficult so I gave up. Just logged in and out to keep my account alive

I keep up with news from UK and it is such a sad time there Yes I have 10 and a brilliant fast connection too. Only need new specs and I should stop maling typos My dilemma was whether to get a laptop or add more memory and update the desktop. I waited and was so undecided and then am so happy as this upgrade has made it modern for less than a laptop would have cost. (I still have to discover exactly what I can do now that I couldn't do before though). I need the speakers for English which I am still doing, though not as much, through Skype since last spring when we had our frsrt lockdown. Everything seems exactly the same here right?

@owlwings Yes I did see those updates when I logged in a while back. Someone had suggested those posts. Here we have had two bery bad periods: one in the spring when we had a really tough lockdown for 10 weeks when we were fined if we left home and were stopped by the police with no justifiable reason (work, health or food) to be out of our home. In summer most restrictions were lifted and, sadly many people thought it was all over - which caused a second wave in the autumn which was worse that the first. Restrictions are gradually being liftef again: schools are mostly running (though some have closed again), restaurants are closed after 6 p.m., shops are open as are hairdressers and beauty salons. Gyms and swimming pools are still closed but theatres, cinemas, concerts, sports events, stadiums are all closed since the spring and many businesses will not be reopening at all Tourism in all its forms has been badly hit and that is that is the biggest industry here. No we have the new strains appearing so there is no light at the end of the tunnel yet I can honestly say that I don't know who I feel most sorry for here. My son organises events of all types and other than a couple of months in the summer has not worked for a year. To top it all we have a government crisis too which was probably piloted Oh I don't envy the moving though I'm sure it will be better to be nearer to your daughter. Hope your move will take place when the weather is warmer too. I have done several over the years and they are not easy at all. Hopefully I can stay here forever as I would not like the upheaval all over again.

@mysdianait It was all good things, I assure you! I have been well and I can tell you that mylot is quite different than what it once was! Too many gone from here though I imagine you keep up with that in the mylot group on facebook, don't you?

During the last year I have had so much time to be here, being closed in under lockdown except for the summer months, and it was annoyihg not being able to use my computer. Now we are in for another cold spell and as the ironing is done, the fridge is full and there is nothing on television, guess where I will be from now on!

@mysdianait And now it is possible ! I hope you will be coming back regularly again! Every time I heard "Italy" I had wondered how you were and hoped that you were ok out there. Seriously, what a surreal time we live in now . . . if we are here and can say hello to each other and know that all is mostly well, then we are the fortunate ones - we really are. Thank you! I had been back after they stopped paying but then health got in the way then life got in the way and now I think I'm back on track and can be here more often. Hope so anyway!

Ih great to see you again! Nothing was updating anymore on mine and the wifi wouldn't connect either so I had to make a decision - and it seems that I did the right thing too How are you doing?

@LadyDuck Yes I'm fine thank you. My son was sick in the autumn but was over it by Christmas with no obvious side effects. I stay in most of the time because I get sick of seeing crowds, and some of the people with their mask under their chin. Each time the restrictions are lifted slightly, so many people seem to think everything is back to normal Chicca is fine too and so happy to have me here all of the time

@mysdianait This is the reason why I use Linux to navigate the Internet, Win XP did not update, I use a cable and not the wifi, but it was annoying. I am fine, we are "caged" here right now, we cannot cross the border, but we feel pretty safe where we are. I hope you are fine. How is your kitty?

Wow so many friends are still active and good to see you too! I haven't investigated everythiung yet as I had a problem with Word - mine was from 2008 and it has changed so much that it took me a while to understand how to use it. That might be the case with several things so I prefer to come here where everything seems the same.
